[Album Review] Lena Meyer-Landrut - "Good News"

We have "Good News" for you. Lena Meyer-Landrut is on her new album launch. "Oh, what did I do, why does my good news always mean bad news for you?"

Schon beim Betrachten Album graphics by "Good News" shows that would contribute Lena unlike "My Cassette Player clearly adult. And you notice the very first song, "Good News" , the title song for the album that she has clearly learned. Her voice sounds more mature and more secure. Posted was "Good News" of the great-niece of Judy Garland , Audra Mae is taken by the style of Lena well represented and one other song on the record. With "What Happened To Me" followed by the first song from Lena & Stefan Raab spring, the most commercial to the Tracks on the album too. He is a perfect companion while jogging on the beach, if you just NEN beach at hand. He is also one of the few up-tempo numbers "on " Good News ". "A Million And One" is definitely one of the best songs on the album. The unusual rhythm and the great background music, which consists only of strings, guitars and discreet percussion make "A Million And One" to one of those special songs that no particular genre can be assigned and that somehow sound like something from another world . With pop pabulum, this track has nothing to do. Anke Engelke, in the second semifinal of was "Our Song for Germany" with Joy Denalane on the jury said that after this song "I think I have the other 5 did not listen, this is my favorite" . But as may sound beautiful the song on the record too, he heard sung live in part of truly wrong, what reason could be the frequent key changes. "Maybe" is an absolute mainstream titles, and "mainstream" this Title also described enough. Unit product spiced a bit, but nothing new. Nevertheless, he had on 14 May 2011 at the Euro Vision Song Contest in Dusseldorf good chances.

"I Like You" is a nice little love song. And the best that one here also gets the feeling that Lena is easy to understand what she sings. The text is natural and unaffected over and one could almost think that they would sing the song directly to the listener. So she secretly says to every fan "I Like You". Then the next track follows the Raab's forge, "Mama Told Me" that sounds almost exactly like "What Happened to Me." Lena is a typical song that very soulful and strong grooves with trumpets. What you get then on the ears is a beautiful ballad, Stefan Raab has even moved to tears. "Push Forward" is about a past love and the desire to turn back time just once, to experience all the experience once again. Rarely succeeds songwriters a ballad to be as honest and "uncheesy manner" sound, as here. And even more rarely has managed a singer, a ballad honest and sing "without kitsch," as here. Is it a musical treat . "Push Forward" is in our opinion, the highlights on "Good News" .

All that I want is always to push forward
But since you've been gone I just want to push rewind

If yesterday could only be tomorrow
Whatever I do I always run behind

It follows "A Good Day" , also from the pen Audra Mae. The song is just a good day and just as easy is the melody. Nevertheless, we immediately lively dances Lena's voice cheerfully through every little turn our ear canal. And then we have already reached the next highlight: "Taken By A Stranger" enthusiastic in the first semifinal of "Our Song for Germany" not only the audience in the hall and on the screens, but also 2live4music. The first thing that came to mind for this song was: "Geiler shit!" The dark beat and the unusual text give this song that special something. It verprüht an indescribable charm and immediately goes into the ear. In surveys that track is way ahead as the favorite for Dusseldorf. In our view, Germany should not be too much of "Taken By A Stranger" seduce because, although the beat so special, Lena could just put the difficulty. For other countries it may be too specific. And now down to the very top of all, or rather of a sophisticated recital with exceptional charm to a song called described "Teenage Girl" the Anke Engelke has the following: "I find the stupid text Sun Boa, I find the stupid! I can not believe it. [...] So I come clear to the non-song. " the childish bad track on the otherwise adult album Let's forgive, because the melody is actually quite refreshing. Raab-time for another song. "That again" is tailored beautifully to Lena. The swinging beat conveys a carefree, easy lifestyle and the refrain is quick ear. He brings a little color to the dark gray of winter. Then follows the last track, by none other than Aloe Blacc was written in 2010 could with "I Need A Dollar" land a worldwide hit. "At All" get a bit too shallow. He would bombastic may be reared with a gospel choir in the background. The Sound of the album very unspectacular.
Oh - What did I do,
Why does my good news, bad news for
always mean you.

Overall we can say that Lena with "Good News" definitely sounds more mature and much more mature, and you notice that was put into this album more time than in the predecessor. It sounds all in all, just round and together belonging to than "My Cassette Player . And even though the album well with its light, carefree beats fit in the spring, one would "Good News" can still miss some polish. Now your opinion is asked: What do you think of "Good News" ? 2live4music recommends the following face-off tips : A Million And One, Taken By A Stranger, Push Forward, A Good Day -MH
